Revolutionizing Healthcare Insurance Industry User Experience
This platform was designed to meet the needs of users in the U.S. healthcare insurance industry. It incorporated several modules focused on AI and cloud technologies, creating a solution to enhance interactions between healthcare providers, payers, and members. The goal was to offer a simple, efficient, and intelligent approach to access and manage healthcare data.
The Challenge
Currently the healthcare organizations were using legacy systems for handling data. A large amount of data and information were still being managed in paper format. A lot of time was needed for onboarding a provider or resolving an appeal from a member.
Solution
Existing systems couldn’t handle large data volumes, delaying decisions. A comprehensive dashboard was created to surface all key data and clearly highlight required actions. Users needed extensive member data on a single screen, resulting in content-heavy layouts and high cognitive load. Grouping the data and presenting it hierarchically made it easier to scan and understand. Legacy systems left much information underutilized. A smarter, efficient system was introduced to track and manage data, streamlining processes and improving speed.
Design Process
The project followed an Agile development model, with product owners sharing sprint-wise user stories through Jira. The UX team analyzed these stories from a design perspective, providing feedback aligned with user experience best practices and industry standards. Finalized concepts were designed in Adobe XD and shared with product owners and the development team. Feedback from users, internal reviews and client demos was incorporated, and designs were refined as needed.
