PersonaSync
Empathy-Driven Design Simulator
PersonaSync is an empathy-driven UX simulation tool. It allows designers to "step into" user personas and test their UI under different accessibility contexts.
Challenge
Designers often struggle to design beyond their own perspective. Accessibility guidelines exist, but experiencing design through diverse personas (color-blindness, motor impairments, cognitive differences, etc.) is challenging. This gap leads to products that unintentionally exclude users.
Solution
Persona Library- provides pre-built personas with specific impairments like vision, motor, cognitive, auditory and also allows custom persona creation. Immersive Task Simulation lets users upload or link designs (Figma, Sketch, or live prototypes) and complete common tasks from a persona’s perspective. Accessibility Stress Tests simulate challenges like color blindness, one-handed navigation, or dyslexia, generating friction scores on ease, errors, and time to uncover accessibility gaps. After each test, the app provides a persona report with feedback on successes and issues, actionable recommendations (e.g., contrast, keyboard shortcuts, simpler layouts), and WCAG-aligned accessibility scores.
Design Process
Reviewed the problem statement and identified potential user challenges. Then conducted a competitive analysis to spot gaps in the user experience. Based on my findings, I brainstormed solutions to address these issues and recognized the need for a dedicated space where users could perform these tasks seamlessly. Later on designed user flows and a journey map to outline the core information architecture and developed the navigation structure. Next, I created low-fidelity wireframes to finalize the screen layout, established a simple design system, and transformed the wireframes into visual designs and prototypes.
